Blogs I Read
The Organic Sister
This is a blog written by Tara about her adventures living an organic life on the road. Tara, her husband Justin and her son Zeb live together in their Winnebago as they travel where their heart takes them.
What I like about this blog is the attitude towards how this family makes their living. They have decided to pursue a particular lifestyle and then find a way to make it happen. It makes for great reading. They aren't just dreaming about what they want from life, they are making their dreams come true. And they are finding a way to break free from convention and live outside the hierarchy of this destructive culture of ours.
Illuminated Mind
I don't like personal development because of its underlying philosophies. My main gripe is with the pseudo spiritual aspect where people claim the world will be saved if we all just "grow" or "evolve" or become "enlightened" and "more conscious."
Illuminated Mind is personal development but it manages to avoid most of that hogwash and focuses on something very important to me - living on your own terms. This is author Jonathan Mead's drive and passion and something that I wholeheartedly agree with and support.
Natural Bias
This is a diet and health blog that aligns with my personal views on what human beings should or shouldn't eat. Vin challenges conventional ideas on good nutrition and as the name of the blog suggests he approaches his writing with a natural bias. His articles are detailed and comphrehensive and are guaranteed to make you think.
Raptitude
This is another blog that has elements of personal development in it, but without the blogger pretending to be a spiritual guru who has the key to your eternal happiness.
I like this blog for one simple reason: David Cain is a bloody good writer. And he is honest too. It isn't a chore to read one of his posts, they flow gracefully and always leave me deep in thought.
