A True Free Market Economy
A truly free market economy is one that you aren't forced to join. The way our economy functions is a major factor in the unsustainability of our culture. It is also one of the biggest reasons why our way of life is so unsatisfying for people.
But I don't seek to eradicate, overthrow or reform our economy. What I want is for alternative means of making a living and trading to exist. Most people don't want to join an organization that seeks to extract as much from them as possible while giving them as little as they can in return. But they don't have another option.
The current economy can continue to function for those who choose to participate it. But for those who want something better, we need the freedom to create alternatives. We need local, sustainable economies that have people's best interests at heart. If the option existed many people would elect to participate in these economies rather than the centralized, all encompassing economies that are designed to work for business and suck the life out of people.
Free Market Capitalism Is The Latest Version Of A 10,000 Year Old Model
Many people blame the problems in this world on capitalism, the free market economy and globalization. But capitalism is just the most recent and most intensified expression of an economy that has existed since civilization began. The real issue is that our society is hierarchical. When you have a product based economy in a hierarchical format wealth will naturally stratify in a pyramid shape.
The Traditional Economy Of Tribal Cultures
Our culture's economy is based on the exchange of products. The commodities are tangible and therefore wealth can be hoarded. A traditional economy has products, but they only make what they need. What their economy is based on is an exchange of human support. You give support to others and you get support in return.
What Is Wealth? - It's Not Just Cash
We are fabulously wealthy when it comes to money and products. But that isn't true wealth. True wealth is a holistic sense of well-being, that covers all aspects of human needs. Real human wealth is freedom, support, time, security and the ability to live on your own terms.
The Really Really Free Market
An attempt to go beyond free market capitalism and the conventional exchange of goods is happening across the world. The Really Really Free Market is a movement where people gather together in order to provide goods and services for free. No exchange, no trade and no money! The idea is that when we combine our resource there is more than enough for everyone.
